Quickies…
I’m sorry I haven’t been posting as much as I promised to do. I couldn’t find much time to post something here, because the last week has been a bit hectic, but fun. I will try to post something more about my experiences with Getting Things Done since I last posted.
But for now, just two quick remarks about applications that I ran into and would like to bring to your attention:
- During the last week I have been busy with preparing presentations and I finally found a proper slide package for LaTeX, LaTeX Beamer. You can make presentations in LaTeX without making it look like you’re doing it just for LaTeX.
- And via TaoOfMac I noticed FreeRuler One of those applications that make you think, “Wow, why didn’t I think of that”. The idea, like the name, is really simple, it’s a free on-screen ruler application.
- Finally: Tim Bray has an excellent take on the Open Office standard format vs the proprietary Microsoft solution on his blog. Excellent analysis of some common arguments against open formats.
